With all the manufacturers hype about towing capacity and other BS, this really shouldn't be necessary. The worrying thing is that so many buyers just accept the sales BS and don't investigate chassis strengthening and other improvements until it's too late

Funnily enough you are not allowed to weld chassis rails in Australia and yet look at where the rail broke.

Struth that's not good, I guess his load and the trailer went over the limits, That's one truck to scratch off the list, He has 2 or 3 jerry cans mounted on the A frame of the Trailer that's 100 to 150Lbs or another 50/70kgs, No wonder it broke.

The fact old mate has added a nice long towball mount to enable his hitch to get out past his choice of body styles, certainly has done the chassis no favors either
In second pic the top section of chassis has been cracked long before the straw that broke it's back
