Had a quick hunt at the beach with the Compadre. low tide was about 100ft from high mark. the dry sand is white but the damp sand is a dark grey, not sure why. surprisingly, the Compadre run well, with the descrim. upped to about the iron mark. only found a few pull tabs at 5-6 inches but that told me it was working, even out to 20 ft from the water. need to try it out more , it may do ok in damp sand. HH.

heres hoping for ya SD,...maybe the dark sand is the black sands they like to mine, usually plays around with my machine trying to mask targets on me,....but I get around that with the ACE250 and still pull stuff out of thick black sand.
