Reason for selling.

Around 18months ago after Margret and I had potential serious health issues, we sold our Minelab 6000 detectors. Earlier this year, health on the mend we purchased a Minelab 2300 for Margaret and me a 5000. Years ago Margaret has successfully used the 2300 in WA and Tibooburra. Being on the wrong side of 75, I though the heavy and poorly designed 2300 for extended use by a Fem would cause problems, so purchased the light weight modern E1500. Turns out (and I should have known) Margaret is not into Technology/Screens and buttons, just the turn on and detect that the 2300 and the 6000 provide. After an initial try she went back to her 2300 and started to get wrist and back problems, so a 6000 is on the horizon.

The E1500 is a very capable detector as demonstrated by a friend on a recent Vic trip with his 7 nuggets.

The E1500

The AlgoForce E1500 is a pulse induction metal detector that excels at locating very small gold nuggets in often complex mineralised soils found in most goldfields.

The detector can also be successfully used on the beach (best with a bigger coil) since the Target Identification function allows coins or rubbish to be identified. The Target ID is helpful when detecting in trashie areas in the Goldfields (recently I found a 3d in a Trashie area in the Vic Goldfields using the E1500 where nearby a friend found a ½ Gold Sovereign 3 years ago), and of course a Target ID of 00 most likely indicates Lead shot.

This detector was purchased from Phase Technical in Adelaide and is 7 months old with 17 months of warranty remaining, the Coil has 5 months warranty outstanding.

Am selling/saving to purchase a Minelab 6000 ($8999).

Like previous sales of our Minelab 4500’s and 6000’s I can post and insure for an interstate buyer. Post and Insurance, Adelaide to Melbourne for example is $72. Am prepared to pay ½ the post/insurance cost for an interstate buyer.

From the Phase Technical Website:

Developed by AlgoForce Pty Ltd, it harnesses patented Ultra-Fine pulse induction technology, which is capable of detecting even the tiniest of gold nuggets. This sensitivity matches that of VLF gold detectors in low mineral soils, but being a PI detector, it has a bigger advantage in highly mineralised terrains.

Features:

  • Patented Ultra-Fine pulse induction technology for detecting very small gold nuggets
  • 3-piece Carbon Fibre stem for compact pack down
  • Powered by any portable USB power bank (not included, 3AH minimum)
  • Patented technology for ambient sound awareness in headphone mode
  • Ground drift indicator - shows when your ground balance is out
  • Wide sensitivity range to suit most environments
  • Stable conductive target ID (0-99) in pinpoint mode even in highly mineralised soils
  • Dual ground balanced detection channels for different sized nuggets
  • Four detection modes - Ultra-Fine, Fine, Normal, Large (3 Pulse Delay Options)
  • Soil type setting - Mineralised / Mild / Beach
  • Lightweight (840g without coil or powerbank)
  • Compatible with all 5-pin SD/GP/GPX series compatible mono coils*
  • Coil optimisation function, with five coil save slots
  • Auto or Manual Frequncy Scan (Noise Cancel)
  • Auto Ground Balance reset
  • Real time scrolling signal display
  • Independent threshold, tone and volume levels
  • Adjustable Backlight
  • 2 yr warranty (transferrable)
Both VLF and PI metal detectors come with their own array of advantages and limitations. The choice between the two hinges on the user's specific requirements and budget.

The AlgoForce E1500 bridges the gap, offering a high-performance, cost-effective PI alternative for users seeking a detector that combines VLF's sensitivity to small nuggets and fine jewellery, but with a Pulse Induction detectors ability to detect in mineralised soils and on beaches.

Works very well with Nugget Finder Evolution & Coiltek Elite coils, but other recommended coils include: Minelab 8" Commander Mono, Detech 8" Mono, Nugget Finder 8x6" Advantage "Sadie" and older 12x7" Advantage Mono etc.

Good luck with it Pete, that is a good pickup for someone just starting out or even a seasoned operator.
Btw, can you spare me one of those 3D printed stands ?
