18?? Sixpence

I found this sixpence a couple of weeks ago , very frustrating, someone has drilled a hole in it , right through the date . I found a half penny not far away from it I few weeks ago , I think it may be 1860 something.

Could be an 8 i.e. 1880 something.
Probably dated somewhere in between 1860 to 1889 IMO.

The bust of Victoria should help to narrow down the date range. From the hairstyle, I think that's the young head design.

Well you can narrow it down by the die numbers they start at 1864, there was no 1861 coin and 1860 - 1863 didn't have numbers and it appears to be a Young Head Portrait 1. So that only leaves 1864 -1866 they all had die 13 minted.
