How much does it cost in fuel to drive to Kalgoorlie, for you?

Good to know Moneybox. We will be driving a Mazda T3500 across to WA next month. Wondering how it would go. Good to know for the return journey.

    Dopping and Cabbing Rocks

Thanks Dihusky and Pat I just read the red melts at 71C and the green at 65C so not a lot of difference unless you are using heat sensitive stone. I am hoping it will just come away in the freezer the same as the green. Sounds like there is a bit of a knack to learn to get the stone to stick...

    Dopping and Cabbing Rocks

Hi I have finally gotten most of my gear together to do a little carving and polishing. I had read the green wax is the best for my purpose but had trouble getting some. I even paid for some and then they rang me and told me they only had the red :/ so red it is. I have also posted a pic of my...

    Minelab SDC2300 information and questions

Thank you AM......worked a charm. No spray bottle but I got some wet cotton buds, cleaned the area you suggested and made sure it was lubricated with water once it was clean. Closed straight away. No sticky problems anymore :Y: :Y: :D :perfect:

No luck! Rang Minelab and the dealer I bought it from and no one available to talk to me at the moment. Looks like it will just continue to stay in the upright position for now. Thanks everyone, K

    Minelab SDC2300 information and questions

Hi! Just wondering if anyone can help me with retracting the handle on my 2300? I closed it the first couple of times I used it with difficulty, but now can't unlock it and slide it to the closed position. I know they can be difficult to close. Any suggestions? I would love to just pop it in...

    Beekeeping

Great video Les! You make it look so easy :D I have a swarm in my Buddleia plant at the moment which has been there for about five days. They seem quite calm and happy to be there. Hard Luck, I was surprised...I thought they would have moved on by now and found a nice tree...

    ⭐ Alluvial Show n Tell

My first real attempt at panning. Not much to show for 5 days but I have learnt a lot about panning so hoping next time I will do better! One of the pieces was found by my partner which was his first ever find so that was a celebration. Still very happy that I found some gold at all. We...

    ⭐ Alluvial Show n Tell

Well done Jazz. It is a great feeling when you see that bit of colour in the pan. My partner and I went out ourselves and did a bit of panning and fossicking for some nice rocks. It was a great day even though we didn't find any gold. I think it is a lovely hobby to share with the family...

    Cabbing/Carving

Hi Pat! Thanks for your input. I take it your happy with your foredom tool and hand piece? I was thinking of buying the H30 hand piece to use with the tool as this is the one I used when I had a go at jade carving. It felt quite comfortable to use and I think it is quite versatile being able...

    Cabbing/Carving

Hi all I'm in the market for a cabbing machine and carving tool and I was just wondering what you all like the best about your machine/tools and what you might change if you could? I guess the best option would be to buy a six wheel cabbing machine, but I would like to know if anyone is...
