Thank you AM......worked a charm. No spray bottle but I got some wet cotton buds, cleaned the area you suggested and made sure it was lubricated with water once it was clean. Closed straight away. No sticky problems anymore :Y: :Y: :D :perfect:

No luck! Rang Minelab and the dealer I bought it from and no one available to talk to me at the moment. Looks like it will just continue to stay in the upright position for now. Thanks everyone, K
