Our house and every house in the street was built above the flood level 40 years ago. Then the council raised the flood level last year. :(

I got a call today from the Moreton Bay council asking if I needed any help 4 days after the flood. I said all good mate its already sorted. :lol: :lol: :lol: :beer: :lol: :P

I was really shocked at the amount of help offered by total strangers. One man helped me walk horses to a property 3ks away in water that was mostly waist deep. Total strangers offering hot showers and a dry bed. I've never experienced such generosity before. I've never asked anyone for help as...
