Hi All, a bit late but these few are from my last trips to Jupiter creek in Adelaide. Was very happy with the 5000 picking up the smallest one (.07g ) at about 3 inches. Leaving in the next week or so for WA, so hopefully some more to follow. Goodluck to all for the coming year.

I certainly hope so, cant wait to try out the 20" in WA. Pfft just cant wait to get out of Adelaide and detect full stop :)

Hi All, I dont normally post but have been doing some reading on coils and have read on a few sites that coils over 18" in diameter are actually reaching a point that they do not give a positive return. That is on a GPX, some of the earlier models like the SD seem to benifet from larger coils...

I agree with Geo, i have had a lower back problem for over 30 years and have been in traction in hospital a few times now. I use a harness and bungee on my 5000 which i can use for eight hours in a day with the normal fatigue you would expect after that amount of time. My problems always comes...

Yes i think 2021 is going to be very congested out there, i see WA has issued 4500 new licences this year alone. Hopefully after that people will realise its far harder than they have been led to believe and will sell me a new in warranty 7000 nice and cheap. :)

They taught the dogs to find gold, why bother with a detector that cant pick up a nugget at twenty centimetres out of the ground but can pick it up at 40 to 50 centimetres under the ground.

Hey all, just a quick heads up. Jupiter Creek has had a burn off and lots of people up there over the last week. I have seen Two snakes in the last five days in the burnt of area, both Red belly blacks. Managed to get the one from this morning to sit still and smile :) Be very careful going...

Sorry guys, had my scales and container with gold taken from my car after a trip to Vic. I have not replaced them yet. I was a little sad but on the other hand my GPX 5000 and SDC2300 did not get taken, so i class myself as extremely lucky. Only went through the glove box and centre console...

Hi All, have not been out for a very long time. Bought the new Elite 9 inch last week for the 5000 so went out and gave it a whirl this morning. Was extremely pleased to pick up two small pieces at Jupiter Creek with it. Probably about .3 each.

Hi all, havnt been on for ages and recently bought a second hand 5000. Been on two trips from Adelaide to Vic and got a couple of goodies to show :) My Personal best on the first trip which made me happy camper. Not sure how this will go been its so long and the scotch has addled the old grey...

I am actually in the process of buying land in Victoria just so I can go for weekends and go detecting. That is how sad it is in this state in relation to detecting.
