a freind of mine has bought a property off the warby highway with 1 km of creek running through it has invited me to go there and do some sample panning cant wait to get up there will post , any finds. hopefully it will be productive

tryed brittania creek the other day no luck just pans full of mica but it is nice up at the falls on a hot day, to chill out

yes there is alot of black sand in hoddles creek i use a magnet i bought from miners den to get rid of most of it then tap the pan untill you get a line of fine gold at the top edge then suck it up in one go with a sniffer pippete

there is gold in all them creeks but very small the black sand is bigger but colour in the pan is what we go for right not to get rich but to be there and maybe a nugget one day

while i was there i filled a black plastic sack with cans, broken glass ,and discarded fishing line i dont think this was prospecters rubbish but people who go there fishing or just to drink beer :(
