Yes, I'm confused. "Always use DD mode when using mono coils??" I've always read Mono for a Mono coil or Mono with a DD coil as mentioned above. Maybe you found all the nuggets left with your 4500. I haven't found anything with mine but find plenty of small stuff with SDC

I read a similar thing and can't remember if it was this forum or not but a very experienced detectorist said no store detector would pick up gold at 1m but aluminium or iron I don't know. A ring pull is pretty small too.

Hi. Beautiful gold and the area just doesn't look like the norm if there is such a thing. So green and just looks like topsoil. Did you have to dig through the soil to harder ground? Is this a creek/river bank and what made you detect there?

Hi NJ, do you have a audio enhancer of some sort as your volumes seem pretty low as does the Rx Gain (hi mineralization?). The hi mineralization I assume is why you set Sensitive smooth also? I've read blogs and heaps of info on this forum and others, Youtube, read the manual several times...

Only had the SDC for a few yrs but it was my first and is my most used detector. I can't run SDC on anything above 3. Far too chatty and susceptible to interference I think and I do think you miss those very faint signals. I agree with comments above on less is better, as I've found quite a few...
