    GPX6000 Versus GPZ7000

I'd be surprised if the 7000 missed gold that the 6000 could hear. The 7000 is an awesome machine, and once you get your setup right (I use a hip stick), you can swing it all day. Remember too, that the 7000 is upgradeable (if Minelab choose to make improvements). I'm sure the 6000 is a great...

    GPX6000 Versus GPZ7000

If you get a hip stick, you'll find that the 7000 is as light as a feather. It's a really simple but really effective bit of kit.

    Gpz 19 inch coil NSW

They are a pretty good coil, once you get a decent hipstick and bungee setup. I'm not sure how deep they actually go, but they are very sensitive, and pick up small targets easily. Great for fairly clear, flattish areas.

First Aid and snake bite information + links

I'm not sure if that first St John link is an old one, or whether St John need to update their fact sheets, but I noticed the sheet on CPR is out of date. These days, they are only teaching compressions, no breaths.

    GPZ7000 Charger Flashing Red Light.

This happened to me once. I turned it off, lifted the battery out of the charger, put it back, turned the charger back on, and everything was fine. Hasn't happened since.

    SteelPhase SP01 Audio Lead Advice?

Hello, Is the audio lead on the Sp01 just standard wiring? I want to carry the sp01 beside the wm12 module in a pouch, and I want to change the audio lead between the modules to a short one. Cheers Chris

machine guns found with a metal detector

In a past life, I was conducting a grenade practice at Canungra. There were two ammo sheds, and two boxes of spare grenades were stored in the far shed. We finished the practice, and about 8 o'clock that night, I was having a beer in the mess, when I suddenly thought about the grenades in the...

GPZ7000 Ground Noise In The Wet

I'm glad I'm not the only one experiencing this problem. I just posted the same question in a couple of fb groups. It's that wet, red clay! Everything sounds like a target!

    Getting a SDC2300?

All the detectors you are looking at are good machines. With the SDC, I know people like putting new coils on them, but really, they are a great machine in standard form. Really sensitive coil, and can go quite deep. The 5000 is also a great machine, especially with the fine gold timing and even...

    Reducing EMI On 15 Evo?

My 15 inch spoke Evo is pretty quiet, mostly. I often fiddle with the gain and stabilizer in really hot ground, but normally, I don't have any trouble keeping a nice smooth threshold on the 5000.

Another WW2 soldiers ID disc found last night, trench art coin!

And it's interesting, because the numbers allocated to the 2nd AIF, had an 'X' after the 'V'. No id tag would have left the 'X' from the number. I wonder if it's actually WW2? Could be earlier?
