Have you seen the different types of gold ore out there? Does that include electrum? AuHg2, Au2hg and Au3Hg ore?

The rock is a good 8x8 inch by 3 deep band is about a mm running right through it. Found with a gold bug pro and checked with a minelab gold monster both said gold. Found at the goldfeilds

Why is my detector telling me it's gold?

Thanks guys the detector was going nuts so I'll have to crush and see what's happening with the signal

Detector went nuts and it was this rock. It never did this before Covered in crud so i pocket it for later thinking a nug could be stuck on it. Found this after cleaning. Discrimination on the detector was spot on. Went back to the spot and so many signals...so many rocks.

Some south NSW finds

I use a 4200 digital control dremel (it makes a difference stable motor control) 10-15krpm with a diamond wheel. Then I finish with 350, 600, then 800 wet and dry then leather and pink polishing powder. I learned off a great YouTube video on hand shaping with sandpaper, using a folded towel...

I know what you mean. It can go the other way too, too much cutting and you go too far. I like to stop and think for a while. I know the white one has some cloud but it still has colour in it. Think Ill leave it be.

Thanks I'm very happy. Hands a little buzzed from the dremel. No dop just handheld. Was a bit worried on the white one chasing the colour and shape. Dark one 19ct and white is 14ct. Nice big stones.

They came out better than expected. Will make some nice drop pendants
