    TESLA HYPOCRITES

I watched recently a video of a fella on the side of the road with a ‘flat’ leccy vehicle. He borrowed a jerry can of fuel to charge up the vehicle. The fella lending the jerrycan of fuel asked how he was going to use petrol. This fella popped the boot lid to reveal a Honda genny that was out of...

    Coils for the QED

Mark, 45 or 50, it doesnt matter as its just a number. Your null at 45 will be no different to my null at 51 (which originally was 50)

    Coils for the QED

Mark, are you sure your null is at 45? Not impossible but does seem to be a little low. Too far below null will give you noise. Recheck GB and null after 20 mins of run time.

    Coils for the QED

Mark, whats your null? Id start off by doing a factory reset. Run your B at null for the interim. A at 50. Start off with a mode of about 5. Do a ground balance. Keep in mind the QED only likes a nice SLOW up/down from just above the ground to about 150-200mm above. Now you can work toward...

    Coils for the QED

Reg, are you able, if you have available, do some comparisons between say the 12x6, 12 and 15 X-coils? Sensitivity by depth?

    QED pl2 help

Mick, you shouldnt have to be constantly adjusting it. The QED is a very easy machine to operate once you know it. You didnt mention your gain. Idd start with a higher mode then bring it back in mode and gain till you find it a tad noisy then go back up one or two on you gain. Make sure you...

Best metal detector for gold under $1500

Id suggest a second hand QED. So much detector for the money. You can pick them up for $1,500 or less with little use and 1-2 coils and is the latest model. 5 year warranty is transferable, free upgrades instead of having to upgrade detector and super light. VLF detector weight in a machine...

    Life with a QED PL3

If i was to go one coil, id go with a 11/12 mono. These can punch deep yet are supper sensitive on the end of the QED. Make sure you get a pick with a long handle, 800/900mm. Short handles are a pain.

    Life with a QED PL3

I set up that Facebook page for Howard. One of the few things i did for him after what he had done for me. Yes i have found a little in a difficult part of Victoria. That and ive been too busy unfortunately. I was new to detecting a year ago when i got the QED. Reg Wilson (as much as i think...

    Life with a QED PL3

We quite often hear many favouring one over the other. Some state they like the likes of the GPXs over the QED but then you get many that have parked up the GPX in favour of the PL2. The PL2 is a different detector to operate compared to the GPX so it would be fair to recognise a preference if...
