Garrett ace 300i or ace 400i

Hey mate, thanks for the reply. i suppose all detectors are able to find a gold coin the question will just be about the depth and the target separation. I tried to make another post the other day but i couldnt reply somehow. I ended up buying the ACE 400i, i got a great offer from an...

Garrett ace 300i or ace 400i

I guess the iron audio would be nice to have but i would pay more for the feature. I just had a chat to my buddy who owns the 400i and he said that the numbers certainly jump around a bit. I mentioned what LORD said about the 300i accuracy (14 out of 15 it is a $2 coin when the detector shows a...

QLD do i need a fossicking license?

Certainly i would need to have a licence in fossicking areas. Im just going in public parks and the beach, as far as i know there it is permitted up here as long as we dont make a mess and leave holes open obviously. So as far as i read it within the rules and regulations, the fossicking...

Garrett ace 300i or ace 400i

Yes when i get it right the dd coil will have a fairly narrow detection field which will be beneficial for the target separation, also they seem to work better in mineralized soil. The concentric coils have a fairly wide detection field which narrows down as deeper they get, but i read that the...

Thanks for the feedback guys, i guess i wont get one as long as i just hit public parks, playgrounds and beaches. Im seeing it the same way as Smoky Bandit at this stage, ill probably reconsider when i buy a better detector and potentially get out more to different areas.

Thanks that you share the target identification accuracy for the 300i ill gonna have a chat to my buddy with the 400...

Garrett ace 300i or ace 400i

My buddy who got the 400i bought the 5x8 DD coil because he is not that happy with the target separation of the 8.5x11 DD. Im not too keen on getting an additional coil so my thought would be that i could go for the 300i and have a better target identification with the concentric coil instead of...

Garrett ace 300i or ace 400i

Hey guys, im planning on upgrading to a better detector and im doing some research. Im currently using an unbranded detector (GC 1028) which served me well, but its time to upgrade. Im mostly looking into garrett detectors because they seem to be well priced and I dont want to break the bank...
