You can camp for free on the river in Bingara. Township ten minutes walk from camping. Great place to fossick and swim.

Good luck getting into the country. Not sure we're going to have flights in and out of the country. If you do make it, maybe try Inverell/ Bingara area your base. Bingara has a big range of gems available. June July weather wise is a good idea. Nice and cool and less snakes.

Just reading through your post and from the times Ive been to Bingara on the gold hunt you have to keep an eye out for the snakes. There's never been a time Ive been out for the day and havent come across two if not more snakes! good luck..

Thanks Cairnspom and Keith. Ill look into what you both recommended. Id like more than 3 waypoints so the Garmin62 is worth looking into. Ill also look into the inverter as Ive been told that the gensets are sometimes frowned upon. Where I plan going that may not be a problem. Thanks again.Mark
