    Qld vs Wa

A very general question I know but for those of you that have had experiences in one or both states going from developement to production on an alluvial and hard rock gold claim which state is less of a cluster to get the necessary approvals sorted out ? Paperwork has never been my strong point.

    Dry Blowing vs Winnowing

Before the invention of the dry blower people used to sometimes "winnnow" for gold in a similar way they still do in many parts of the world for grain. My question is why a dry blower is more efficient ? Could winnowing be refined to match the dry blower ? ( I am thinking of dropping from a...

Turning a letrap sluice into a high banker

Straring to turn my letrap sluice into a high banker. I really like the letraps shape and size but I find them a bit too flexable with out being braced. With this aluminium frame it becomes completely rigid but still very light weight. Will post some more pics when finished.

    Simple chainsaw sharpening set up

Nothing special but it comes in handy when you have alot wood to cut. Was going to set up a vice bolted on a ute but found an even better way. Just cut the wood rounds in a way that holds the chainsaw and bar but lets the blade rotate around freely. Working on the kiss principle.
