    Beginners gear

I began with a bent screw driver, couple of buckets, gold pan and a spoon. Didnt get rich certainly but had loads of fun. Even if good detectors have been over a creek bed doesnt mean all the chunky shallow gold has gone. Some wont beep until out of the surrounding rock like these guys.

Good on a WA 💪 SA currently has a no toll road policy also thank god. How long it will last though we will see. Pressure is always there to be a sell out and shaft your own people

Toll roads. They symbolise everything I hate about our highly paid planners and decision makers in this country basically selling out our futures for some one likely based out side the country to make a profit indefinately. Thank fully not any new ones near me. The last one they tried was this...

    Whinge of the day thread...

I would take it as a comment about our society in general. It rings true to me but I think the selling out of Australian manufacturing began long ago and is not just a recent phenomena. Now they are busy selling out the legacy utilities that previous generations built and also with anti...

    Qld vs Wa

A very general question I know but for those of you that have had experiences in one or both states going from developement to production on an alluvial and hard rock gold claim which state is less of a cluster to get the necessary approvals sorted out ? Paperwork has never been my strong point.

Late to the chat. Sad to hear this big news. Never met Jaros but felt like I knew him. Always seemed to have a good heart welcomed everyone and obviously had a sense of humour which he did his best to restrain in his capacity as a moderator which made him very endearing. Rip Jaros.

Hello. Specifically the most flogged areas that contain plenty of very tiny undetectable surface or near surface gold.

A cruel blow for a famous old miner

Poor Old Paddy. I think the 38 year old is covering for the true culprit the St Katherine statue. I hear she was just trying to get a head of the competition 😜

Just knocked this mini sluice up. Opinions and advice welcomed and wanted

I think the open backed stuff may have been a material for non slippage around swimming pools by memory. Not sure.

    Singapore Licence

Not 120k but a rude shock coming for EV drivers too when they decide to go after the unpaid fuel excise. They will wait until alot more people are driving them first though and then Bam ! ev rego tax. Best time to own a ev is probably right now but make sure its one you can replace the battery...

VEGE PATCH. What's growing in yours?

When is it safe to move these cactus to bigger pots ? I sprouted these from seed after sewing them in microwaved potting mix on a heat pad. Just wondering if I have to wait longer ? Know a bit about some other plants but no idea with cactus. they have some special dna and these few sprouts are...

Where can I get this ?

I have seen those and they look good especially as they are an easy size to move around but I am looking for something a bit bigger. Good thing about the one in the pic is apart from the potential feed size is the fly wheel on the handle gives it some momentum.

    Sword found in Germany

I didnt find it. Just reposting something interesting. It is amazing though. Some of the old machinery made in Croydon Queensland holds up to the elements very well compared to others from Britain too because of some accidental or intended minerals in the steel. Doubt they will look like that...

Where can I get this ?

Is there anyone in Australia that makes or sells a large manual jaw crusher like this one ? These seem to be popular in Africa and take a decent lump. I am looking to precrush before feeding into a small hammer mill that takes gravel size material.

Just thought I would post this. Not in bad condition for something dated 14 BC note also many arrow heads scattered about the human remains. The idea of finding such treasures is amazing but tempered by the fact that often in some ones grave like here. Here the remains belong to a man woman and...
