Just got the last 2 posts in a 20mtr section of our dividing fence,rails and iron on the next cuppla days,put a double carport up out the back also the last 2 weeks,get these bits an pieces buttoned up and where off on the gold.
At 56 i'm not digging holes like a did 20 yrs ago
Old mate next door i reckon is younger then me,doesn't work,didn't offer a hand at all,stood there watching the oday when we were ripping the old fence down,i was up the back for a cuppla minutes,he stood there watching betina lifting and tearing stuff apart,she's about 5 foot,he's a top bloke

There can't be many like this little gem mackka,been here near 3yrs,sure he told me when we moved in he hurt himself at work,2yrs earlier,he was mining,he don't leave the house 24/7,she does the lawns etc,she came home from NS this morn and was hanging washing out,he'd have another big day on the couch,i've never seen anything like it,can't see anything wrong with him,can't be seen do anything i'd say in case he got filmed and lost his compo payments.
Then the other side of the fence we have one of the most respected local elders around here,he does alot for the wayward locals,awsome neighbours and where over there quite often.
It's like chalk and cheese

very sad news mate, your in our thoughts and I sure hope it turns out for the betterWont be going anywhere now and all my priorities have changed. What we thought was a bowel obstruction is a tumor and it has spread to her liver

I've been preparing to take the truck out to a station and possibly return with an old trommel. On my way home I was going to catch up with Olden and have a swing with the Axiom but plans are only ever made to be broken

Terrible news goldfreak,chin up and i hope she bounces back okWe should cherish everyday they put up with the likes of us. 44 years is a great innings Goldierocks. I have been with my wife for 13 years and have young children. I just found out some devastating news today though. Wont be going anywhere now and all my priorities have changed. Sad News from Moneybox and Goldfreak and best wishes to all in seeing things through.
Seems rather trivial but stuck down in Geelong and driving myself crazy trying to assemble my humungous newly purchased 5” refractor telescope to a computer control hub and Astro camera.
Spent the last two days trying to get the camera to connect to my iPad and the telescope to achieve focus. Finally got it to work. Really complex problem. I had connected an optical element back to front - Dumbo!
Getting there.
PS Who thinks detectors are expensive?

Hawkear, what can you distinguish throughout setup like that?
I think I mentioned that the Director of the Parkes telescope, John Bolton (as in "The Dish") was a family friend - his wife died last year at 103. He was also one of the three who invented radio teloscopy. Our son went out with a lovely and very bright lass who took up astrophysics (PhD) - she did a vacation on a Chilkean telescope and discovered a new twin star. I guess there are still huge numbers to discover, but I was impressed. Not everyone gets the chance....
