Nice chunky bits, well done.
1st swing with the 10x5 goldhawk.
I got lots of ground noise groans and also spots that almost sounded like targets....maybe it's worth taking a sample of those home to pan out....anyway, the little coil is more about being able to poke around and through long grass, just to clean out the cabin fever. Those bits were from a patch I have smashed, and declared dead.

very well done, if you've managed these then I'd say your settings are just about right.

What coil found them?
I was using the 12" evo... given the first time playing with settings I wasn't overly confident, but once I pinged the first bit and seen how small it was it did put my mind at ease a little.

Maiden voyage with the 5000. Dunno if I should be impressed or disappointed... 0.06 was the smallest of the three. At least I know I got the settings purring ok

Well done, you should be impressed. Many people find none. The evo is a fantastic coil, it has found me a lot of gold since I bought it and it is very good on small gold. I think my smallest with it goes .03g

The 12x7 Xceed got its first run this morning. Unfortunately the gold was hiding today and we struggled to find many targets. My mate was running the Coiltek 10x5 and we wanted to see how the coils compared in the field. Initial results were as you would expect. The smaller coil produced a shorter, crisper signal on two of the 3 pieces of gold that we found and the larger coil showed good depth on one piece. There was very little between them performance wise. We were working in some benign ground and I was able to run the 12x7 in normal, auto + with threshold on. The coil was lovely and quiet and never played up at all. This is not something that we experience all that often so it was a morning to savour. All targets were tested on a range of settings for our own reference. Here is the first piece that the Xceed turned up.

It was only small but it was pulled from a reasonable depth.

Christened my NF coil at the weekend, its first bit a similarly tiny piece...see if you can spot it...

Dug a hole in back yard the other day to stick a large pole in, got asked today if I had checked the dirt that came out of hole? So out came the SDC and out popped these little nuggettes ;) Only 1.4 gram so a bit small to call nuggets so nuggettes will have to be the new word. :D
