I've been busy making things, and after the Infinity Cube Coffee Table one of the good members on here has shown me how to make these Metal Roses.

They are a bit fiddly to make and take quite awhile, each one is a little different so they are all individuals.

This is how they look

🤣, i used to make them and turtles dave for the little and big kids
a smithy term for a minor hickup dave,
as you have to heat the petals to form them , not often but sometimes things get a bit hot and you burn a small hole in it
a customer asked me what happened there with the tiny hole in it so i told her
bloody aphids just can't keep em out 🤣

Your Roses look 2 different colours 1 silvery and the other brassy? What material are you using and, are the electroplated or just base metal.
you are certainly an artist and should do well with them.

Ned

there made from cold rolled flat steel sheet, shaped and then brass brushed while the metal is still hot (not red hot) and the brass brush leaves some brass on the hot steel, I guess the more shiny silver looking areas have less brass left on them.

some of the earlier ones have less brass as I was getting used to how to do it is most likely why, now the look similar. also the light on the roses while being photographed certainly makes a difference also.

today I made a nice set of blacksmith tongs, light duty ones from 6mm flat, (for myself), to hold the 6mm round rod when going in and out of the forge heating it up stuff to make the various things, the rose stems and the candle holder are all heated in the forge and hammered and shaped.
