Sad news, she's been a staple in all of our lives. I'm not a fan so to speak but she is definitely worthy of recognition. I wonder if we'll have a posthumous Queens Birthday public holiday

Sad. Regardless of what people think of the monarchy.
Now it will be King Charles on our coins.

Every time I dig a coin and see her face, I always feel somehow lucky to be around during the times of her reign.

November 1948.

Very sad news. A gracious lady who exemplified duty and commitment to her role, to the very end of her life, as promised.

Reading previous comments, you don't realise how many things will change that are a part of people's everyday lives, with the change of the monarch.
Currency changes, stamps in some countries, all those portraits of the queen in the public/government buildings, public holidays, singing the anthem... I'm sure there are more too.

The end of an era that has endured for our lifetimes. How much will it change for Australia now, is the question...

I'm not a monarchist or a republican but the Queen did seem like a very genuine and decent person.
In spite of all the BS that went on around her she never lowered herself to speaking out.
I think as time passes more people will appreciate the person she was.

She will be never for gotten.............

Queen Elizabeth II was my boss for 17 years. As a veteran, I will always look up to her and the way she became an inspiration to so many. She will always be held in high regard for many years to come.

Was comforting to see that as sad as this was it gave his wife and family some solace and understanding. Another good man gone RIP Mr Green

It's just been reported that Fleetwood Mac singer-songwriter Christine McVie has died aged 79. R.I. P.
