Hey PA Crew.
This is an informal thread that the Mod Team or Admin's didn't know about!!
(I know, smack me and send me to the naughty corner without dinner..!)

A couple of months now with a new forum layout, a new set up and a new Moderator team...

What do you think?
Give us your honest opinion of what you think of Prospecting Australia!

Are we heading in the right direction??
Are we doing the right thing?
Are you recommending us to your friends??!
It will be awesome to hear your honest thoughts and comments.

(Normal PA rules apply in respect to abusive or untoward posts, however we do want to know what you think)

Well I'm happy. The agro we've seen in the past seems to have subsided. Perhaps some of that was due to people being like caged animals. Now those same animals have been let lose in the bush and everybody is happy again

I think PA is running along very well.

Yep, agree with above. people don't like change...initially. But everyone seems to be sharing, engaging, respecting each other so all's good in the world.
Well in the forum at least.
Far bigger things going on these days in our lives and the world to be concerned with.

Was a rocky road for a time when no one seemed to know what was happening. Thought the aliens had moved in.

I still haven't learnt the new set-up re emotions.
And the related threads that turn up aren't always accurate for me in relation to the thread I'd just looked at. Looks like they are trying to resurect older threads that should be left in the past sometimes. Past is past..... just to look over, not to comment in.(maybe add likes lol)

I had logged out of the old forum for about 12 to 18 months as I was sick and tired of the same people coming on and causing arguments and threats against others who did not agree with their opinions, I saw no need to login and still read the same thing many times. I had lost interest in what was supposed to be a gold forum had become a normal chat site with all the associated problems that seem to occur constantly and if someone was banned then there seemed to be regular followers that complained to get the banned person back online ASAP so they could continue with the same issues.

I received an email from PA informing me that I was logged on and then realised that the forum was in the throes of change so I watched and waited, many time I logged off, but there seemed to be a good change occurring over time so I have now remained logged on, as my age and health is now the limiting factor I think my detecting days are just about over so I am unable to contribute much about the search for gold.

I feel that the changes that have occurred over the past couple of years have been for the betterment of the forum and the members and I hope that it will continue along these lines for years to come.

Big difference is being able to post without fear of being shouted down. Well not actually a fear, but just something one doesn't need or require so one just wouldn't post. Personally a much better forum now with also much fairer and respectful treatment by mods. Keep up the good work Admin and also members

Seems to run fairly smoothly - love the decreased aggro - people seem friendly

What is it that you are watching or looking for @Russ Tenail ?
Is there something you would like implemented or removed from our Forum?

When PA changed hands and was in conversion to the new format, I couldn't get my head around what was happening and made comment in reflection of this, I feel it could have been handled better.

Took a few months off while ripping our new home apart and rebuilding, now that's 80% done I have time to revisit and everything seems to have settled down. Sometimes one just needs a break.

It's nice being back and though I hate seeing ads everwhere, everything appears good, many of the old guard are still here so no plans to move on, not that I would know where to go...!

You can easily turn off the adverts in your profile settings, under Preferences.

Nah, I only joined a couple of days ago Simmo and over time I've joined a few forums and unless you're in the clique you rarely get much response, also as time goes on members get jaded with the same type of discussions and same old newbie questions and drift off into other sites. I'm also a little lost as to where to detect for relics and the like, I've got a few negative vibes from the local parks and my research into historical sites etc. are vague or heritage listed, but I know things take time and practice, so I need to chill. Thanks for the response though.

Fantastic Simmo, ads are one of my pet hates (insurance being top of the list)
