Hi All
Just retired, got a GPX6000 to go detecting as a hobby. Returned last month after 3 months in Clermont and Forsayth detecting and Cooktown, Mareeba etc on holiday.
Wife and I had a great time, even though we only found trash. Met some great helpful people on our trip. We're already planning a big trip detecting/holiday in WA next year and will be looking on this forum for tips etc. Thanks to those that have contributed to the site as it's a big help to newbies like us.

Good luck Baz and Alley. II’m 6 months away from retiring and buying a decent detector. Reading all and getting tips on best ways to enjoy and hopefully discover the yellow stuff. Al

Thank you all for the welcoming.
We didn't find any gold but it we had a great time, met some great people and saw more of QLD that most of our friends.
It's not our job so when we went out swinging it was only till lunch time.
I'll read Walnliz's posts, learn a lot more and keep on planning for a WA trip
Thanks again
Baz
