More of a reintroduction from one of the original foundation members who left the forum due to political difference with the past administration...

Got a call from a valued friend who is now a moderator stating major changes in the Forum and am very impressed as to the forward thinking of the moderating team that I've decided to re-join the Forum and hopefully be of some assistance to especially some of the newcomers to this wonderful hobby that most of us are obsessed with. My name is Wal and with my wife Liz we have spent much of our life chasing gold and gemstones throughout this great country of ours cherishing what the great outdoors can do for ones soul. We are from Canberra in the ACT. We also have a couple of long standing YouTube channels being WalnLiz and Liz Kreate. We look forward to once again be involved with the Forum and hopefully contribute in a positive way to helping with information and advice especially to new members who would like to be put on the right track for success in this rewarding hobby. Thanks Simmo for the heads up.

Welcome back, Wal - the involvement and contributions of yourself and Liz have been sorely missed here at PA.

Interest in all forms of prospecting and treasure hunting is probably higher now than it's ever been, after a slew of reality TV series and YouTube video channels focussed on these subjects. Unfortunately, as a direct result of the exciting examples set by many of these sources, the expectations of newcomers to the hobby are also probably higher now than they've ever been. Consequently, the need for honest, experienced, reliable advice on equipment, techniques, locations, safety, legal requirements, potential results, etc, etc, has never been greater.

I'm very much looking forward to having you both back onboard, sharing your wide experience and love for discovery and the great Aussie outdoors, with rest of us.

Thanks grubstake, ...I had a lot of time for Nugget in the early days of the forum and was genuinely sad at how things panned out, not even looking at the forum for many years. I'm glad Simmo contacted me with such a positive outlook for the Forum that I had to revisit and was pleasantly surprised at how the emphasis is heading back to being prospecting related and not a boys club to bitch about every topic unrelated to prospecting. You guys have done a great job and deserve to be congratulated in your forward thinking of what a Prospecting Forum should be and which track it should go down. I'm hoping that some of my input may be of benefit and Prospecting becomes the hobby it so deserves to be. Cheers Wal.

ive done the same walnliz ,in the next 12 months im going to be doing drone stuff ,some traveling stuff,and more but my boss keep giving work he keep telling he love me

Welcome back Wal, as with any great forum it's the members who create the content. The forum has always been prospecting related, some just chose to use it for other reasons....
