My contribution, my wife’s specI not heavy but sprinkled with gold. Found some years ago in WA. She won’t let me crush or slice it. I sold pretty much all of mine but now nice to have something left to remember the trip.View attachment 1106

I had a few a little smaller where you could just see specks of gold but the Ω multimeter showed that most of those specks were connected so then I dissolved the quartz in boiling caustic soda to reveal the nugget inside.

Still plenty around. As you well know its just a matter of keeping at it.🤞 Speaking of Cue. Back when the 2000 came out I did pretty well around past the rifle range. No doubt all changed now.

Most areas are under private Prospecting leases and we stick to where we're allowed to go. There plenty of poachers out there but that's not fair play.

Funny story about fence jumping, few years ago in Clermont a bloke scraped a patch and planned on swinging over it the next weekend. Some helpful soul did it for him during the next week. A well known local actually. o_O

Hello All

Managed to go detecting over Easter in the GT.
Got 2.53g with the biggest one 1.56g with the SDC.

Went back to the same area last weekend with my son and found another 1.30g, plus a specci and my son found three small bits and a threepence.
The weather was warm, the fire was raging and the beer was cold and a little colour.

Very nice mate 👍

A couple of bits from last weekend in WA. Nice little start to the season!
Well done, mate.

I headed out to a well researched area here in WA. The previous visit back in Jan was reconnaissance only and the ground was untouched. Sucks because someone's been out there more recently, dug everything and didn't even bother to fill in their holes!
