I've only used the AT-GOLD at this stage and I know that goes quite deep, sometimes deeper than I would like to dig haha.

The AT GOLD is a whole different machine compared to the AT Pro. I was using the AT Pro & then moved to the AT Gold. You wouldn't think there would be much of a learning curve would you? But there was. But it clicked pretty quick & yes it does go deeper then the AT Pro. It's also a lot more sensitive & that takes getting used to.

The ATG is sweet in dry sand, as you go down the beach you can reground balance, which I have been on moist sand but once it gets to wet it gets a bit noisy
Main problem is the standard coil is too small to cover a beach but is awesome around junky spots ;)
Hope that helps Mackka :)

On beaches I run between coin mode around the edges then swap to jewellery mode but have a lot of junky areas here, still haven't had success or a need till I'm in the bush for all metal mode :)
