    Yes it is magnetic, mostly on the flatter, low parts. Bits where there is a conglomerate build up are only slightly magnetic. The white rings are also only slightly magnetic.     I came across this agatised looking rod that seems to have age rings? I'm not sure if it's wood, a vegetable, a cephalopod or some kind of man made ceramic of sorts? Any help appreciated, it was found in Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia.

    Is there any value to these petrified wood pieces?

    The long one is normally petrified wood and I think the rounder one is agatised. They're both within the range of a kilo but are both pretty diferrent in appearance.
