Yes it is magnetic, mostly on the flatter, low parts. Bits where there is a conglomerate build up are only slightly magnetic. The white rings are also only slightly magnetic. Almost like a metal rod through it. The attached video should better show what I'm referring to. Rotating view and close-up

I came across this agatised looking rod that seems to have age rings? I'm not sure if it's wood, a vegetable, a cephalopod or some kind of man made ceramic of sorts? Any help appreciated, it was found in Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia.

The long one is normally petrified wood and I think the rounder one is agatised. They're both within the range of a kilo but are both pretty diferrent in appearance. Without any treatment or grinding and whatnot, are these actually valuable beyond the appreciation of natural beauty in the eye...
