They are an ok highway car for midgets however both the new hiluxs we have at work needed new steering racks and front
driveshafts/CVS at the first service and having top control arms fall out isnt uncommon.
Its got me stuffed why people buy them
The only tyres worth driving on in the bush with are maxxis razr or toyo open county. Both 10 to 13 ply depending on size, all the others are 3 to 4 ply.
I have a 13.5kw setup with 2 inverters. The install was done properly not just smashed together like most cheap systems.
Cost just under $10k. Should be making totally free power after 3ish years
I did really well at yowah last last year. Or at least I was very happy with what I found.
There are more then enough fossicking areas that there is no need to poach.
Definitely a spot I will go back to
A mortgage is around 30-40% cheaper then renting where I live so after rates etc you are still ahead by buying.
Plus as a bonus dont have to deal with POS property managers
My bush car doesnt have freewheeling hubs and has drive plates instead. Front diff is always turning at road speed,
no issues caused and no reliability issues Like with driveshaft disconnects or freewheeling hubs.
