The 15 tested well. It found it's one and only 1 gramma at Beaufort. Ive had it since Jan 2018 and used it a lot. Could be a dud mate. It definately hasnt been as good on gold as my 11 inch commander or the 12 evo. The 12 found gold first day out, gram plus, first nugget. . Or I just dont know...

The flat wound coils by Nugget Finder and Coiltek are super sensitive which makes them good for shallow gold. But would it be your first choice for hunting deeper large gold? The commander range are not as sensitive so therefore would have less emi less false signals and false targets from hot...

I have been hearing a lot lately that the older model 45s punch deeper than the new ones. Apparently the older ones still transmit the analog signal whereas the newer ones with the 5000 mother board use a digital wave. Is this true? Brains trust . . . . Go ? Thanks guys. Btw I have a newer one...

This is exactly what I have been doing. I found a small patch of shallow nuggets not far from the reef. I think I'll continue with specific and swap the 12 for the sadie and see what else is there. Then perhaps swing the mighty spoked 15 over it to be sure

Just to update. I'm swinging a GPX4500 and was using a 12 inch evo coil

Thought I'd start a topic on the importance of ground balancing. I ground balanced in specific last week and jagged 4 nuggets (shallow) in quick time. I'm confused by this. I've never found four nuggets in a day before. Anyone else had success with specific?

Cant believe Minelab is discontinuing the 4500 !!
