    Aussie Gold Hunters Series 7

I look forward to the 2nd hand gear on gumtree from all the people watching these shows thinking there's any gold left on open ground.

Hi guys it's been a while!

Just thought I'd pop over and share some of the stuff I've found recently. I'm really happy with the gold coin but I also love the 1949 half crown. Not often those come up and it's the first one I've ever found. I also like the buckle ring! Most valuable would be the 14g 22k ring, it was hidden...

Minelab GPX6000 release, general information and questions

Have you had a chance to try it on salty ground and ideally wet salty ground? I'd love a pi that can handle the goldfields and hit deep at the beach during the storms here in winter

Found my biggest gold ring ever today

He didn't want a picture taken, it had a bunch of personal stuff inscribed on it so I understand. I found a gold ring today though! Karma! https://youtu.be/-78rk5DGdUQ

Found my biggest gold ring ever today

Except it was a recovery! Ring would have gone 30grams easy. Custom made wedding band. The gentleman gave me a generous reward for my efforts, but the relief on his face when I surfaced with his ring was priceless.

Imagine if I went along the beach yelling at all those kids digging holes in the beach? I'd be in cuffs in 5 minutes. But because I have a metal detector in my hand I'm fair game.

    Scored a bucket lister today

Not a huge value money wise, but I've always wanted to find one of those round 50c coins. Nailed it today along with a 1908 six pence and a 9k gold ring. Unfortunately I cut my hunt short a little, I ran into a crazy woman who was following me around telling me I'm ruining the beach. I asked why...

    First Detector. Opinions? (Vic Area)

M advice - hire an SDC2300. They are cheap to hire for a week, and easy to run and give the best chances to find something even if it's only tiny.

    First Detector. Opinions? (Vic Area)

If you can't afford much, have you considered just hiring one? Unless you live close to a gold bearing area how likely are you to spend a lot of time at it?

First time with the Nox 800

Couple of tips. First, don't waste your money on a pin pointer for the beach. You don't need it, just scoop out a lump of sand with a shovel and kick it to spread it out then run the detector over it to find the goodie. Next thing to know is where to hunt. You want to hit the wet sand at low...
