i think quartz with some iron or dirt in it? i found on the side of the road in cootamundra, nsw last weekend. got bored yesterday and tried to polish it up a bit with some high grit sandpaper (tumbler arriving this sunday)

hiya, im mitch from shellharbour, nsw. just gotten into this hobby and i have bought a rock tumbler after being lulled in by tiktok tumbling videos. I always collected rocks on the beach as a kid and an adult (im 30 now) , but i didn't know there was a name for it, "fossicking"
