    Hookah for sniping

I was thinking more along the lines of a small 12v system for covering depth up to 4-5m There are a few systems on the net where people have used the PVC floating ring as the air reservoir.

    Sniping

The feeling of finding a nice nugget sniping is far better than panning it I reckon. It's and excellent way to sample a river for gold bearing areas Tools I use are: Screwdriver flat head Snuffer bottle with some big sinkers in it Hammer and chisel Picking tool/O ring tool Small hand rake...

    Sniping

What state are you located? I've done a fair bit over NSW but finding rivers with enough flow is hard sometimes. In low flow and low visibility waters stick to shallow, less than 50cm water that's flowing over bedrock. Sometimes I find gold on less than 10cm of water

Yep tweezer for bigger bigs and snuffer bottle for small. Look up gold sniping for more detail, by far my most enjoyable way to find gold but I love the water. I thought it would weight more but most of the bigger bits are not much thicker than paper.

A morning of sluicing for all the fines and blacks. Then donned the wetsuit and braved the water and glad I did. All the bigger pieces were beyond the range of past dredges and had the be picked out with tweezers. 1.1g

    Clay gully coffs harbour

Yeah requires a good 4wd with a lift kit to get through the washouts near the crossing. There are easier accessible gullies around the same area with gold. There are a lot of tracks not on the maps
