Thanks everyone for the replies I have pulled the detector apart and rolled it into my sway with my cloths with no batteries in so should be no problems as it will go in as checked baggage well see at the boarding gate I guess I cant wait to get to the Palmer and hopefully get some colour.
Im going up with a mate who has a claim up there somewhere hes still keen so all should be good only issue is the BLOODY March flies apparently,what are your thoughts on me taking my detector as carry on as I will need to check in a swag

Thanks for the help AussieChris tried out the sluices yesterday recovered some small specks of gold but had a bit of a challenge trying to get the flow and angle right so as not to clog up the riffles but still learning will try again in a couple of weeks when on days off again cheers mate.
The riffles are 10 mm high 28 deg with 5mm lip do you think they will be big enough? I've got no idea what I'm doing just tried to put a photo on but it's to big will have to get my young fella to have a look
