Hi, some of my favourite spots have had huge amounts of water through in the Vic floods - some say the most in 30-40 years. I went for a look yesterday and trees have been uprooted by the water etc, so it’s significant.
I haven’t been prospecting long enough to know what to expect after a flood...
Hi
It's been mentioned on a few - I come and go from them depending on the quality of content - didn't take note of exactly which ones. You would have seen some mentions as well, surely? If you havent been up that way in a while go and have a look - you'll be appalled.
I know exactly where you are talking about and it is absolutely disgusting these days. it used to be relatively pristine bush and a nice place to spend a day but I don’t spend much time there any more. Unfortunately the prospectors doing this are of the toothless variety who I firmly believe use...
If you're from Beechworth maybe give Reedy Creek a crack. Re: Swifts Creek I think there's a bloke who does prospecting tours.
*edit* I think the bloke's name is Richard Darby at the local IGA
Hi - nothing to write home about to be honest. The spot that had yielded ounces at times is done I think so I spent the weekend testing and looking for a new spot. Found a decent area with lots of much finer gold so Ill head back soon.
hi, parts of McIvor Creek are okay and I'm told Wild Duck Creek can deliver as well. I find most of my gold elsewhere but it is a nice part of the world.
Couple of hours testing. Taking my daughters boyfriend out next weekend for his first prospecting adventure and have found a good spot to use the highbanker.
