    how would you clean chunks of metal?, i found 4 chunks today, there nothing more then lead, but id like to know how i can clean them to see them better, and to atleast make sinkers out of em if they are lead.

    yea a brush, pan and broom is a must too... if you can find a dried out river bed you can do some crevacing work too even when the river or creek is receeding...i just watched a good video last night on crevacing il try find it and post the link

    yep so Double-D coils sense through the middle of the coil and concentric kind of fan out into kind of an arc right? i know it depends on the soil how far it can penetrate id like to get 8 to 12 inches out of it and pick up smaller targets too.. just takes practice i guess

    whatever works for you bro, u can use what u like... we were just using a cheap garden shovel lol. however i would recommend a shovel with a long enough shaft to get to the bottom of creeks, places that are deepish.. as well as waders or gumboots
