How good indeed, our group bought three GPX6000s in September, by mid October two had coil issues. One was intermittent from the cord into the box connection and the other died in the coil.

I found a test/comparison Axiom v 6000 but didn't have success loading the image here... It showed with their stock/mono coils the axiom actually getting slightly better depth. I can believe this, from my experience, with in mind the Axiom stock 11x7 mono would be hard to listen to at the gain...

You can get a barrel hauler, a frame that you strap your own dry bag in to, so any size load... I use one to haul a 60L drum.

Thanks, no worries. anyone wants more observations just ask. Apparently there is a software upgrade coming and this is one detector for which that and a bigger selection of coils 'could' tip the difference. Our group had 2 of 3 6000 new mono coils fail in weeks this year. I'd rather support ML...

Axiom was discounted for a short while, not for some time now as far as I can see? I'm selling mine, due to being gifted a 6000 but after several months using both I can only say the verdict is still out. At high gain It's at least as sensitive to tiny gold. Their small mono is a noisy thing...

Around 2000 I spent a week with a german Herman at Tiboburra. He taught me the ropes of my SD2100 before heading for a season in WA. He drove a red landrover at that time and mostly detected around the GT with a melbourne club. just curious if this was the same..
