    MillZilla

This is one project I've been working on for a while now MillZilla! (yes, just another mutant prospecting idea) When my front-loader washing machine died I couldn't resist the idea of recycling as many bit's as I could To make a paydirt processing machine That feeds a sluice This is a vid of...

Small, portable rock crusher for sampling

I've been working on a small field-servicable, no welds, wheel-barrow mounted jaw crusher that and runs off 12v for a while now. As I'm not an engineer, I've been using the Thomas Edison approach, ie: I've stolen, copied, and found many ways to NOT make one that works, and where I'm at so...

14" Rock crusher expression of interest

I started work on a smallish Jaw Crusher about a year ago, with the intention of it being mounted on a wheelbarrow frame, and running off a 12v battery, but got stuck on how to drill holes in the triangular bastard files I was planning to use as teeth. So I tried making an EDM to do the...

This is an Impact Mill rock crusher I built

I like the idea of the bolts. I'd look at replacing that first link with a rated D shackle to make changing the Chain links easier as they wear.

This is an Impact Mill rock crusher I built

Looks pretty damn good to me! One of these is next on my never ending list of projects! I started making a Jaw Crusher about a year ago, but got stuck on trying to drill holes through the Triangular Bastard files I was tring to use as teeth. As a temporary measure, I've been using a...

    Goldzilla

Thanks for that Silver! Nice work Mr Marksman! (if you're walking around with a gun like that in the bush, I'm going to be very polite! :D ) I notice you have the Belt-sticking problem too! I've put some stairway grip tape around where the belt runs helps that a fair bit, is that what the...

    Goldzilla

I've been working on a portable combination classifier & inverse trommel I call Goldzilla, on & off for years (life, distance to gold fields, house moves, Mods & other stuff have made it much longer term than i originally anticipated) Why Goldzilla? It's a bit of a monster & it's definitely a...

    High-Banking Simply Stated

Good Tips! I've just bought a new pump & some lay flat, so I'll try those ideas. In the past, I've cable-tied coarse scrubbing pad around the input to the hose, and then cable-tied the hose into a bucket full of sinkers. Has worked quite well so far.

    High-Banking Simply Stated

Spot on agree with that! You'll also get less stick from any ranger's in the area if they see you've done that.

    Wals' Hi-banker Specifications

It can't hurt to have the legs a little sloppy inside the fittings for rocking, they shouldn't need to be tight. On my early Goldzilla prototype that I made out of PVC, I re-inforced the inside of the Tubing with wooden broom handle. It worked a treat, as the wood 'wick's up' the water & swells...

sampleing new ground to test for AU

That's some great work right there! But you should have built a bloody sluice in that channel before you broke the dam! :-) Now you're just going to have to go and pan that bleeding creek :-) Just stirring - awesome work!
