Nice mate. Colour in each pan is a good sign. Found mine with the gold monster detector. Went back and found 2 more bits. The location is wombat state forest. Its not near an active creek but Im sure youd get something in the pan if you had water.

I got a subgrammer in a Mogo creek a few weeks back. Plenty of bullets in the area. No luck around the mullock heaps except for morebullets and lead shots.

My sister who lives near Mogo, NSW spotted a brown snake (Or maybe she said Tiger snake, cant quite remember) yesterday in 9 degree weather. It convinced me enough to wear gaitors next time.

Thanks mate. Wish I had your rig. Dont think the gold monster is suited for new discoveries. But I found an area that is at the base of a steep gully, with a quartzy reef at the top the old timers cracked but left it. It mustnt have had any gold signs and they probably needed to move on.

Thanks mate. Maccatunas offered a few tips which have worked well. Ive found 3 pieces in manual and one in auto. I do find manual very distracting over the hot ground I cover.
