If you have tried the f1a4 in its pouch over your shoulder then you'll know it's very doable, the shaft setup on the f1a4 is similar to the explorer so it's heavier than a gp/gpx setup but still doesn't feel to heavy with the smaller coils.

Ok so i got myself a gpx 4000 and have been playing with the smooth timing.... What can i say, it's really going to give me a lot more options with mono coils in the hot stuff. It really impressed me 8)

Yes a dd with the detector switched to mono can bump the sensitivity up alot but only uses half the coil, in areas such as mullok heaps with alot of ferous junk the discrimination can often still be used with that setting so dd's are very hand coils for different situations. Regards Daryl

Hmm if you have to run a higher threshold compared with headphones to get the booster to start amplifying then in theory very low signals will be hidden by the higher threshold. I got a new detacc brand booster for the gp/sd series detectors late last year and it needed a fair bit more...

For rushworth area there was allways small speci gold on the south and south west side of growlers hill if you rake and dig out the larger rock but its hard yakka and mainly sdc size now. Or to the south west in that same forest (think north of costerfield ) there is alot of very interesting...

Yep the control box was way to close and there is some big wood screw's in that table aswell, i guess what suprised me the most was it hitting the small test piece in cancel. The standard 11 inch dd has to be in mono mode to give a good signal on the small test piece on my gp 3000.

Just got this coil in the mail today, i'm very happy so far!

Looks like the coil in the picture is the non litz wire mono model not the AI going buy the sticker, i have one the same and it's very good on shallow tiny gold.
