Just back from another short week playing in the dirt. Only found 3 nuggets for the four days ;) 41.77g + 25.85g + 1.51g after water scrub wash.

No drove then walked. I go on private property with owners permission. Im lucky they know me because they dont let anyone else on their land.

I only have my SDC2300. It's very good for both very very small bits and large nuggets.

This was on the trip 3 weeks before the one above.

From my 4.5 day trip last week back to my hunting ground in Qld. Nothing for two days then 3 good pieces on the third. One 0.3 gram piece on the fourth. Then on the 5th and last day, within 10m and about 1 minute minute of stopping to pack up and drive the 3.5 hours home... this 29.5g...

Thanks for the advice. Will read up about them and check reviews. As Makka suggests I would ultimately like to keep 2300 and get something else like 7000 that is designed to go deeper. Time and finances will determine if that happens.

Was out there yesterday. The response was coming from all sides of the tree from root level to as high as I could reach.

Well put Makka. Yeak fairly happy mate. I keep getting reminded by some detectorist friends how lucky I have been to have some great finds so soon after starting. One said he had been detecting for nearly 20 years and never found nuggets anywhere near that big or as many in a short time. I know...
