Thanks Stayyer and sounds like a bloody challenge that's for sure. I used to work on the rail out of Hedland and know how much water you need and electrolytes are the go.
I have read a bit about the settings where you can run no threshold that some ole fella came up with ? Will get out for a go...
Cheers for that Dave, we will be going a bit further south on the meeka pilbara areas not so much wet season weather more just dry and hot. Appreciate your info tho cheers :perfect:
G'day everyone :)
Whats it like detecting as we start getting into the high 30s temps ? Do the detectors start getting noisier with the heat. We hope to get out up north in another week or so. Using minelab 7000 5000 2300. We haven't been out before when it's been hot weather. I guess you need...
Hi
Looking for a well looked after in good condition 2300 if anyone has one they want to part with for a fair price as am looking for a detector for a friend based in WA
Cheers
Just a question about running a two way radio or having your mobile on you for safety reasons? Someone told me to put the phone on flight mode etc because it can interfere with the detector. Does anyone run radio on or phone on and is it not a problem with the detector? Just want to be in touch...
Maybe in the first day or night would be the best chance of picking someone up on the heat sensor. They chase criminals so surely they could have something in the search.
Really sad to hear he hasent been found.
Do the air craft and helicopters etc use the infa red for the heat sensor when they are chasing crooks around the city when they search ? They bloody should and at the earliest.
Really strange how he wasn't found if they thoughly searched.
My heart goes...
Sorry to hear the old fella hasn't been found. Seems a bit strange with a heap of people and services looking for him, wouldn't have thought he wouldn't have gone to far from vehicle. Hope he's found soon
I appreciate your input gents. I think i will go for the 12 inch and not bother with the big 19 as sounds like not worth it. Cheers guys and best of luck out there.
