This accident made me buy a canvas tent. You can find info about it but the aulro poster seems to have a more accurate account from knowing the people involved. It looks like the bottle fell over, ignited which then pushed it along the ground into the tent...
Even better get an electric bug zapper so you don't have to worry about the gas light falling over and spraying ignited fluid everywhere.
The bugs love me so I know the satisfaction of hearing those bities fry ?
This is a real mind bender BW nice one!
One thing I don't get is with the unique dates 18 and 19 why does it exclude the other dates in the month of May or June?
e.g. if Alex was told the 16th he still wouldn't know whether it was in the month of May or July.
I'm not sure of the rules if someone doesn't get the answer so here's another:
A father and son has an agreement that the son's share of each nugget they find is the square root of it's weight.
They are working a bit of ground returning 84 grams per cubic metre averaging 12 nuggets. They had...
Before making assumptions you want to be sure it's volcanic by magnifying the matrix to identify it's mineral composition.
I don't know of any magnetic steely looking material that would precipitate out like that. If the balls were a result of precipitation you'd have some form of...
The answer is 112g. Let me know if I stuffed up
The son always shovels 1 cubic metre per day so 9 cubes over the 9 days. The father contributes 3 cubes over 9 days.
The gold take was:
12x84=1008g
Each prospector received over the 9 days:
1008/2 = 504g each
The amount of gold they get...
OK I made this one up, hopefully I didn't stuff it :D
A father and son go out occasionally banking on their lease. They've got some ok ground returning 84g gold per cubic metre of dirt.
When they both work together for 9 day stints they are collectively able to put 12 cubic metres through the...
I had to interpret this sentence:
"There are twice as many 2gm nuggets as 1gm nuggets."
as:
"there are twice as many 1gm nuggets as 2 gm nuggets"
i.e. 20x1gm to 10x2gm nuggets
I think that's where others may have gone wrong.
