13A may be an issue in Oz :)
A couple of things that are good about the UK I really like is their 240v AC power system where they have an RCD setup at the power meter where it comes in to the house but every thing you buy from the shops etc has a plug that has a changeable Fuse fitted so if it blows you undo one screw or open a little slot and replace the fuse as well as that they all have an Earth that is connected to the incoming power and all pipes, sinks and Baths and showers and anyother pipework is earthed to the same system so if there is a short you don't get a shock, Also their Plugs work better than ours where the longer earth terminal Opens a little trapdoor to allow the Item to be plugged in and without that there is no way you can poke anything in any of the holes so you can't get a shock also how they keep the plug in place so item that is plugged in stays plugged In.

I have only recently started to top up with solar because I had so many packs, I wanted them all to be about 1Kg. A pack will run a fridge on a very hot day for 20Hrs. The compressor is the hungry one, airing up and cleaning any 'repairs' don't waste any water and keeps the rust down.

I have 24v for everything Fridges, Compressor, Winch, LEDs, pumps etc. and a couple of step downs, just in case I need 12V.

You should think about getting yourself remote controls LEDs 4/RC, then you can turn on lights from bed, the wife hates it when she has to go in the middle of the night and use a torch :)

You can layout your LEDs like claymores if you know what I mean, I used to work at DoD DMO they had a very interesting list of suppliers and .pdf 'How Tos'.

Wow I worked in UK twice and didn't know that
Here ya Go,

No 1 is the plug with the little trapdoor and the Long single Earth terminal

No 2 shows the Fuse,

No 3 Is the Plug Socket. where the longer earth terminal on the plug opens the socket/Hole with the Bar that Opens the two lower Holes to let the plug be plugged in and the long earth terminal also stops the plug falling out,

Just click on the pictures for a better look.

hope that helps,

This is 6Ch, I only have 4, these are really why I wanted very light packs, can hang in small tree

Plus I have a heap of LED light that are removable via magnets on 4x4, copilot can turn off/on 4 driver
I just use those solar PIR LED lights that light up as you break the beam and I use them for camping, I'm not sure how I'd get on fitting a remote setup over here, they are really funny about who does what when it comes and mods to the system unless it has been approved. Still it's a good idea and would of saved me busting toes in the middle of the night.

I hear you :)

I was standing at the back of my 4x4 waiting for a Police Officer 2 get out of his cruiser after pulling me over and the co-pilot was trying to 'hide' the remotes for the LEDs on the rear. she lite up the guy so I could count the hairs in his nose.

We had to admit complete guilt as he could see I had nothing in my hands when we started to turn nite into day. It was actually very funny as we drove away without a warning or ticket.

This was actually what he was worried about - "How did I turn them on ?" he was thinking they we not legal !!!

Over here if those lights are not connected to your High Bean it is illegal and they can make you remove them or put your vehicle off the road, It's Crazy you can put a Big Block in a Mini "No Probs" but if your spotties are not set up so they only come on when you use your high beam ya screwed.

Yep that is the rule here as well.

But, Oz is hugh and empty and sometimes we drive on the right hand side of the road like the Tanami Track, it is 1,100Ks, but the worse thing is the "severe corrugations". The most interesting part of the track is "Northern Star Tanami Mine" guess what they mine .au !!!

You've got that totally wrong, On the News on BBC UK interviewed A Company in Israel who now has Lithium batterries that charge in 5 to 6 minutes compared to 4 to 10 hours, And Lead Acid Batteries don't charge faster than any other tech out there, It's a well known fact that Lead Acid Batteries are the Slowest tech and have the longest charge times of any battery on the market, Even AGM charges 2 to 3x faster than lead acid batteries.
Did it say if that was a single cell RR or the whole EV pack?? Change my mind.

looks the same as a normal EV pack which was multiple cells.
But, different chemistry ?

I can't find any 'detailed' spec. so I can modify my BMS and or soft. to work with them or were I can buy in Oz 4 testing

I have given up trying to buy from offshore, just being sent junk, this batch of 'lights' won't even turn on and BATs are sliding out of cell holders, notice the bulge on the side. Not a gr8 time for R&D

I saw this on the News last week,

I had a quick look at the Israeli site RR they're still in development and they don't know at this stage if they will succeed.
If you look closely at the pics you will notice that it's just advertising.
At the end they're asking for donations.

I cant find the actual Video I saw on the News that showed the batteries I'm talking about but here's another load of tech thats going on at the moment.

The formula for people to make squillions.
1. Come up with a good sounding idea.
2. Get someone to lend you some start up money
3. Produce an imperfect prototype
4. Publicity, Publicity, Publicity.
5. Get suckers to put in heaps of their hard earned.
6. Pay pack the lenders.
7. Keep a squillion or two for themselves.

I was thinking about recharge rage, as all the recharges are being used and people having to wait an hour before they can even get on to a vacant charger. Then there are the people who live in areas where they have to park on the street.
That's just Australian problems.
Then there are countries like Indonesia, where there is not a lot of vacant land for charging stations, and I'm sure the powerstations producing electricity are not all that green.
Then there are other problems, there is not enough Lithium in the ground to supply EV s needed to go green. So you buy a lithium ev, next minute, a newer greener alternative arrives, and your ev is now obsolete....etc etc
