Definitely a jump starter, I've got one of these

I have a 200 series landcruiser (4.5lt V8 Diesel) I've used it on that and it started which is pretty amazing as it uses your flat battery to start the car, so you don't have to keep it charged as there is no internal battery to charge.
I also carry a Lithium Gooloo GP4000 battery pack also, there's no way I'm getting stranded with a flat battery

I have an Engel in the car so have a fold out solar blanket that I put on the windscreen (put solar reflector under it as heat can turn laminate in screen opaque) to keep the axillary battery charged.
Other items in the car or carried, plenty of water, Staminade & food + big bag of nuts & biscuits (just in case you have to walk out) small first aid kit, eye rinse saline tubes, hat fly net, spare battery for GPS & torch, zip ties & superglue (for bush fixes), gloves, Tyre repair kit & compressor, RYOBI rattle gun (awesome) 5 Watt 2 way radio and most important thing is a big bucket to put the gold in 😎
Awesome advice. I'll add them to the list. Thanks mate.

Sorry didn't mean to add the quote.
Things I carry on my person when out bush and detecting.
It varies from wet and dry season, but always
Lighter, ferro rod and striker, some cotton wool soaked in Vaseline, 1 spark and it burns for a few minutes.
A water filter, I use a go straw, but anything similar is good. Already saved me once.
A pack of hydrolite tablets. A spray of ease a cramp.
A couple of those energy things that cyclists use in squeeze packs.
A head torch and a powerbank, for both phone and torch.
A small whistle.
Gps.
Phone with apps.
An Army canteen with metal cup that fits the base. (Can boil water in it to sterilise water)
A2.5lt camel back.
5w UHF.
Pack of tissues.....
A knife.
Insect repellent
Spare reading glasses, always loose a pair...
Clearly, this is out bush, which nearly every trip for me anyway. If I was by my car, I would probably still have it, as my vest is a fantastic harness for the zed, best I have tried. Don't notice the weight at all..

In the car is another story, same with the quad. But in the NT, and probably the same any where there is a water source around, chuck in some mozzie coils!

Yep. I was just outside Kununurra and the bugs were a nightmare. Glad I took bug off spray.
