Wow, I'm quite amazed ; that's one hell of a great transformation of your finds, no matter whether they were found in the wild or at a garage sale!

A pleasure to see your work mate.... looks right up there with all those old queenslander windows ,.... only yours look fresh and new like the old windows would have done back in the day. I always admire those olden day windows when I see them... so to see yours... well they just caught my eye !

Old Queenslander windows :/ I've see'em in a few other states didn't know they came from Queensland ]:D.

On the 26th Aug I posted a pic in the 'Today I Bought' column, of the Reeds Prospecting [Gaffa Taped] Lithium battery pack they put together for the SD series detectors. The Gaffa Tape is a bit of a poor effort on their part, but I overlooked this with the intent of boxing it properly.
Sooooooo, here we are, 'Today I Made' a proper case for it from a perfect size plastic box I picked up from Jaycar for just over $4
I haven't properly secured the top to the case yet, as I want to find some nice small catches, so it has a (temporary) bit of Gaffa tape back on there for now :p

And there you have it. 1 case, carefully murdered with judicious use of a hacksaw blade, cordless 5" grinder & a sharp pocket knife :D

Tidy unit mate. How much weight do you think that you have saved? :playful:

50% ... literally half the weight Jaros. The original GelCell is about ~2kg, & the new unit is ~1kg.
(tried to weigh them on bathroom scales, which are about +-200gm)
It contains 2x 6V x 4.5Ahr Drypower Lithium batteries in parallel (total 9Ahr)
